Substance Abuse Prevention

As a member of the Services for Asian American Youth (SAAY), a consortium of six community-based organizations serving the Asian community of San Francisco, VYDC offers a variety of culturally competent services for the prevention, delay or reduction of use and abuse of Alcohol, Tobacco and other drugs among Asian youth. AYPS services include Information Dissemination, Education, Alternative Activities, Referral, Community Based Projects and Early Intervention.

• Academic Support
• Structured Workshop Sessions
• Drop In Computer Laboratory
• Traditional Vietnamese Dance Projects
• Monthly Recreational Outings (Day in the Park, ice skating, movie nights)
• Cultural Projects (Moon Festival & Lantern Parade, TET Festival)
• Assessment, Referral and Case Management
